Ludo (interviewed) is currently in Shanghai, putting the final touches on the works for his upcoming solo show opening on March 21st at Magda Danysz Gallery, Shanghai. Julien Malland aka Seth Globepainter spent the last few weeks of 2014 travelling and painting around China. Familiar with the country and the culture after visiting several times in the past, the French artist and world explorer was able to leave his mark around different areas of Shanghai. Right after releasing his recent limited edition lithograph (covered), Ludo (interviewed) traveled back to Hong Kong and China, and pasted some fresh works there. Continuing his ongoing Chaos Theory theme with butterflies as a signature character, in Hong Kong he left an image of a butterfly with handcuffs holding his wings along with the Both Sides of a Gun image he introduced in France back in August. As we promised you a few weeks back, FAILE has unveiled their newest creation with Mongolian Sculptor, Bat Munkh. Entitled Wolf Within, the 5 meter fiberglass and steel creation was unveiled October 12th at National Garden Park, a new 1650 acre project in the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. As indicated in some teaser shots of Vhils’ street work when he first got to China as well as a preview video posted here, the Portuguese artist has been hard at work preparing for his showing at the 18 Gallery (presented by Magda Danysz) opening March 31st. After a successful showing back in May at the prestigious Blum & Poe (covered), Zhang Huan has opened an exhibition in his home country at the Rockbund Museum in Shanghai. The versatile Chinese artist, who made his name with performance art, has focused on sculpture, like his show in Los Angeles, with this huge Confucius piece as the centerpiece.
