Last week, Liu Bolin unveiled a new project he has been working on with the United Nations for the Global Goals Campaign. On September 25th 2015, 193 world leaders will commit to 17 Global Goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality & injustice. Fix climate change. Showing: KAWS – “Clean Slate” @ LA NAVE (Ibiza)

Currently in Ibiza, some works from KAWS are on display at LA NAVE, a new 8,000 sq. ft. exhibition space on the island launched by New York-based gallerist and art collector Lio Malca. Anchored by the seven-metre-tall Clean Slate companion sculpture, the exhibition also includes some originals and prints on display in the transformed old salt warehouse overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. After seeing Pryce Lee unveil a diverse body of work in Italy earlier this year (covered), we look in anticipation at his upcoming exhibition Ceasefire at The Garage. Situated in a 17th century carriage house in the canals of Amsterdam, the gallery will kick off their their new season of shows, “The Salon Sessions,” with new pieces from the UK-based artist including his iconic mirror-based works. Releases: Aurel Schmidt – “Buddha” Print

For those interested, Aurel Schmidt just released a new print though Exhibition A entitled Buddha, an image taken from her recent series of work entitled New Gods. Sized generously at 30.5″ x 27.5″, the edition will be limited to a run of 50 and cost $350. Starting on September 10th, Tessar Lo (featured) will be presenting what he describes as one of his dream shows at Project Gallery (Toronto). Entitled No More Doubts, No More Fears, the work for the exhibition will be made as he lives in the gallery from the opening until the 30th. He hopes to deal with “ideas of immigration, nesting and establishment, and the development of identity that occurs within the combination of one’s geography and cognitive state” with the new body of work. On September 9th, Constructive Interference: Tauba Auerbach and Mark Fox will be opening at the Wisch Family Gallery at Stanford University. On loan from the Anderson family, the works from the mid-career contemporary artists who both graduated from the university will “explore ideas of process, material manipulation and chance” and encompass prints, paintings (one of Auerbach’s iconic fold paintings seen above), and sculpture.
