It’s been a while since our last Rewind feature so it’s time we introduce some videos to you. You may remember last month when we shared the #WithSyria campaign that launched on March 13, the third year anniversary of the conflict and resulting death & destruction in the country. During their recent visit to London for the opening of their solo show Overthrone! Pooring Reign (covered), Cyrcle also created a huge mural in Shoreditch. Following the theme and the visual identity of the exhibition, this massive piece features upside down Greek & Roman statues along with an upside down crow, infinity symbol and word REIGN. The whole concept of the mural is focused on taking power back, and overthrowing the rulers. With the Greek & Roman elements symbolizing some of the biggest and strongest empires that […]
Several weeks ago in London, the Cyrcle. crew opened up a new solo show at StolenSpace entitled Overthrone! Pooring Reign. Working with design elements mirrored in their recent street works (like for POW! WOW! Hawaii), the Los Angeles-based duo created pieces that dealt with ideas of the interplay of powers and how one’s mind can be used to conquer one’s fears. Take a look at at more photos below… Discuss Cyrcle. here.

The LA-based artists are doing so by playing with and reinventing symbols in order to create […]
Dynamic art duo Cyrcle. (featured) was one of the last ones to finish their mural for POW! WOW! Hawaii festival due to their busy schedule. They had just barely enough time to pull this massive masterpiece off, but with their well-coordinated team work, they made it happen over two nights & days of painting. In their signature style, they created a hand painted image that looks like it’s an oversized vectored image. Painstakingly spraying every single dot, they created an impressive mural in front of Fresh Cafe in the Kaka’ako area […]
