Last weekend in Copenhagen, Eighteen Gallery hosted the the opening of another great show – Geoff McFetridge’s Coming Back Is Half The Trip. Recap / Videos: POW! WOW! Rotterdam

Last month, another POW! WOW! wrapped up in Rotterdam, their first event in Europe. POW! WOW! Rotterdam featured live music and a special exhibition in the HAKA building, but of course our focus is on the street art that was created at Keilewerf 1 and 2, an area that used to be an industrial part of the city. Releases: KAWS x Uniqlo x Sesame Street (Part II)

Following up on his previous collaboration (covered) with Uniqlo x Sesame Street, KAWS will be releasing a more extensive collection featuring the iconic cast of characters from the popular children’s show on November 19th. Last weekend in Los Angeles, Corey Helford Gallery opened their third showing with Martin Wittfooth (interviewed) entitled Domestic Katabasis. JR x Time Magazine – “Guns In America” Cover

After working over the course of five months, JR (interviewed) has finally revealed to the world his latest pojrect –  a new TIME cover. Dealing with the complex and often controversial issue of Guns In America, the French artist photographed 245 people from three cities – St. Louis, Washington, D.C., and Dallas – to construct a mural for the weekly news magazine. Streets: Okuda – “Air, Sea, Land” (Boston)

Earlier this month, Okuda completed his largest public installation project to date in Boston’s Seaport District. Curated by Justkids, the seven large-scale sculptures from the Spanish artist features his distinctive kaleidoscope of colors and geometric shapes. Air, Sea, Land is inspired by the intersection of elements at the dynamic waterfront neighborhood and continues exploring some of the street artist’s favorite themes – “the tale of life and coexistence, and the mythological edge where the animal kingdom encounters with the human world.” Discuss Okuda here.

Amsterdam’s KochXBos gallery recently opened a solo exhibition by local art hero, Dadara. Life Inside a Pixel is the long-awaited exhibition from the famou illustrator, designer, cartoonist, painter, and performance artist, built around the ideas and experiences from his Solipmission Installation at Burning Man 2017. Showing: Kelsey Brookes – “Fibonacci, Waveforms, and Capsid Symmetries” @ Quint Gallery

On view through November 10th at Quint Gallery in La Jolla, Kelsey Brookes’  new show sees him take his work in a more dimensional direction. Fibonacci, Waveforms, and Capsid Symmetries continues the locally-based artist’s longstanding practice of looking to nature and science for inspiration. The painted freestanding and wall sculptures deal with viruses and the Fibonacci sequence, and feature Brookes’ signature psychedelic and colorful patterns.
