With the art world’s premiere event opening to the public tomorrow and running through the weekend, we now have a first look for you at some of the highlights. Openings: Brusk – ‘In Memoriam’ @ Galerie Laurent Strouk

Street artist Brusk from the Da Mental Vaporz crew has returned to Paris for a exhibition entitled In Memoriam at Galerie Laurent Strouk that runs until July 15th, his second solo show (see Ad Vitam Eternam coverage here) in Paris. As you will see, the front sign ‘Matignon’ has been cheekily stroked through with black spray paint while highlighting the letters ART in the Gallery name. Streets: Os Gemeos (Stockholm)

Recently in Stockholm, Os Gemeos finished a mural on Fiskargatan 9 on the side of a multistory building featuring their distinctive imagery. Organized by All You See Is Crime In The City and supported by Highlights Store, Montana Colors official distributor in Sweden, the piece depicts a few of the Brazilian duo’s yellow-skinned characters. Upcoming: Joe Ledbetter // IKEA Art Event 2018

Joe Ledbetter recently revealed images of his upcoming collaboration with IKEA featuring his iconic Mr. Bunny character. The limited edition glass rendition of his famous furry friend was created with the help of  the Målerås glass factory in southern Sweden and will be part of the IKEA Art Event, the fourth of its kind (seen 2017’s event featuring posters). Other artists involved include Arkiv Vilmansa, Coarse, James Jarvis, Joe Ledbetter, Junko Mizuno, Ludvig Löfgren, Michael Lau and Nathan Jurevicius with no details about the release other than a target […]

Previews: Ludo – “I’ve Been Missing You” @ Magda Danysz (Paris)

On June 17th, Ludo (interviewed) will be opening a new show at the Paris location of Magda Danysz. The prolific street artists is often on the road so this exhibition entitled I’ve Been Missing You reflects his feelings for his hometown. Along with pieces featuring his distinctive “Nature’s Revenge” theme as well as signature green tint, this show will also feature an an installation made up of an army of fireflies whose phosphorescent light dazzles and envelops while questioning the relationship between men and technology. On the 1st of June, Unit London opened a new exhibition of work by Tom French (featured) titled Parallax. Through this show, the London-based artist explores the literal, metaphorical and metaphysical manifestations of perspective and visual perception through his expressive monochromatic works. Stepping away from his previous work that used illusion and double images, French is this time focusing on the apparent displacement of his subject matter and its relation to the viewer. Murals: The Draculas @ ETA Agency

We first got turned on to the work of The Draculas during this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii where they painted an amazing and surreal campfire scene. The Southern California-based duo, comprised of Gary Musgrave and Jeff McMillan, recently painted mural for the ETA Agency in Long Beach featuring a seaside city rampage kaiju battle. On August 5th, Los Angeles will finally getting that big solo show from Josh Keyes (interviewed) at Thinkspace Gallery that his fans have been waiting for all these years. It looks as though Implosion will have some paintings that continue his recent works that feature graffiti in natural and unusual settings.
