Streets: Kenny Scharf (Los Angeles) – Part II

Last month, we shared with you photos of a mural that Kenny Scharf (interviewed) painted in Los Angeles on the Davis Brothers’ Tire Pros building in Culver City. Recently, the New York street legend revisited the location and blessed the north wall of the structure with more of his signature imagery. As you can see in the photos above of the project (arranged by Branded Arts), he also posed one of the cars in front that he has been painting for his fans bi-coastally in an ongoing project. Pittsburgh based artist Mike Egan has a unique voice and visual vocabulary. Streets: Natalia Rak (Poland)

Last week in Poland, Natalia Rak painted a new mural for the Folk on the Street 2013 event. Playing with ideas of scale, the clever piece features a girl watering a small plant or tree depending on your perspective and can be found on the side of the Institute of Chemistry building at the University of Bialystok. Nuart Festival ’13: Part VII – Dal East, Hush, C215

Prolific street muralist Aryz is back in action with a new wall painted in Germany. The new piece was arranged by Positive-Propoganda, a non-profit art association based in Munich, which is dedicated to establishing contemporary and socio-political art in urban spaces. A few weeks back, AM had a chance to visit with painter Jocelyn Duke in her Los Angeles studio. The anticipation has been building in the art community on Faile’s upcoming exhibition at the Dallas Contemporary. The New York based duo of Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller have been working non-stop since their incredible project with the New York City Ballet for this trip to Texas.
