Streets: Okuda (Morocco)

After painting the impressive Kaos Temple few months ago in Spain (covered), Okuda San Miguel recently got an opportunity to paint another place of worship, with the result being pretty impressive. Located in Youssoufia, Morocco, the church was completely covered with the imagery of the prolific Spanish artist for the Street Art Caravane event. The finished work titled 11 Mirages to the Freedom consists of 11 main characters that are incorporated in the architectural sections of the building itself. After successfully painting what was billed as the world’s largest outdoor mural (covered) for last year’s NuArt Festival, French artists Ella & Pitr recently returned to Norway to create couple of new pieces in and around Stavanger. This time, they painted another giant in the center of the city, taking a tumble in a dilapidated four-story building. Streets: Phlegm (New Zealand) – Part II

Phlegm has made good use of his visit to New Zealand to get up some of his signature imagery. Along with a piece in Dunedin, he also painted a larger piece in Wellington on the side of a building where sound heads were made for movie projectors. Streets: Phlegm (New Zealand) – Part I

Recently in Dunedin, New Zealand, the ever busy Phlegm finished a new mural on the side of a structure featuring some of his signature characters riding a Giant Moa. The striking image features the long extinct flightless bird endemic to the area that could grow to 12 feet tall and weighed about 500 lbs. POW! WOW! Hawaii ’16 / Streets: Slinkachu

After a look (here & here) at most of the murals painted for this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii, we now focus in on some of the work for the event that you may have missed. Created on a miniature level by Slinkachu, the tiny sculptures were scattered and hidden in plain site around Oahu, including underneath some of the muralists, leading to some interesting collaborations.
