Streets: ROA, Hyuro, Mentalgassi, Moneyless – Katowice Street Art Festival (Poland)

As the work continues to go up in Katowice, Poland for a local street art festival, more photos are continuing to hit the interwebs. Besides photos from Olek, Ludo, Mark Jenkins, and Escif, other muralists have hit the streets with their distinctive work including ROA, Hyuro, Mentalgassi, Moneyless.

Streets: World Roundup (March 19 – March 25)

Another weekend, another Streets: World Roundup here on AM. The highlighted mural this time comes from Tahrir Square in Egypt where Sheikh Khan painted one of the barriers that the Egyptian military erected to divide the streets that connect to government power centers. Preview: “My Turn” @ Carmichael Gallery

This Saturday night (March 17) in Culver City, the Carmichael Gallery will be hosting a group exhibition entitled My Turn. The show is the first curatorial project from Los Angeles-based artist Bumblebee and features some of the young up-and-coming talent in the street and urban art movement including Hyuro, Interesni Kazki, Jaz, Klone, LinelineDot, Moneyless, Penny, Stinkfish, and Zeus. We have a little catching up to do on our world street mural roundup feature. Leading things off is this sweet rooftop shot of one of Phlegm’s telescopic pieces taken by critical mass. Streets: World Roundup (Feb 6 – Feb 12)

This week’s featured wall for our street art roundup from around the world is a sweet collaborative piece between Austrian artist Nychos and the German-based old school legend Flying Fortress. This mother bear mural was created when Mr. Fortress stopped by Vienna for a visit and if you are interested, you can see more footage in a video here. Another quality mural on the streets has surfaced from Argentinian-born and now Spain-based artist Hyuro. It seems she is maintaining her strong work ethic since her solo show in Zurich at the end of last year with this new piece in Valencia, another wall we just featured last week, and some gallery work for a New York group show. Well, hope everyone survived Friday the 13th. If so, you are will be able to enjoy this week’s roundup of work on the streets. The lineup for this year’s Nuart Festival was recently announced with most of the artists participating featured on AM in the past including Dan Witz, David Choe, Vhils, Herbert Baglione, Lucy McLauchlan, Dolk, Herakut, Tellas, Escif, Hyuro, Phlegm, and DVS 1.
