Projects: Library Street Collective Indoor Murals @ The Z (Detroit)

The Detroit-based gallery, Library Street Collective, recently started a big project in downtown Detroit. In collaboration with Detroit entrepreneur/real estate mogul Dan Gilbert, they are commissioning 23 artists from all over the world to paint murals in a newly constructed mixed-use development (referred to as “The Z”). Known as The Garage Project or The Z, this project is now about 30% done. Ukrainian artists and muralist Waone and Aec, known as Interesni Kazki, recently took part in the LGZ Moscow project where they worked on two separate surrealistic murals. Waone did a piece called Flying & Crawling mind at Lublinskaya Str.3, while Aec worked on his Time Machine mural in Sadovnicheskaya Str. 78, Moscow. Ukrainian muralists Waone and AEC, known as Interesni Kazki, recently finished another mural in an old town of Vodnjan, Croatia, for the Boombarstick Festival. Shortly after finishing their impressive mural on the streets of Lisbon (covered), Ukrainian artist duo Interesni Kazki released their print editions through Under-Dogs.net, as previously announced. After recently working in different parts of India and South Africa, AEC (one half of Ukrainian street art duo Interesni Kazki) has now passed by Croatia, where he worked on a large scale acrylic painting titled Glad tidings in a small old town of Vodnjan. After traveling and painting through different parts of India, AEC (one half of Interesni Kazki) has continued on to South Africa. The trip took him through Johannesburg and Cape Town where he got up with the Dali-like surreal imagery that he and his brother have become known for.
