As we shared with you last month, today was the unveiling of KAWS’ 16-feet-tall COMPANION (PASSING THROUGH) sculpture at Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. Starting on April 11th, Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station will be the next location to host KAWS’ 16-feet-tall COMPANION (PASSING THROUGH) sculpture. Releases: KAWS – “COMPANION: Passing Through” Figure

After speaking out against a bootleg figure stylized after his massive Passing Through Companion sculpture, KAWS has announced the officially release of his own vinyl sculpt. If you remember the impressive piece was first seen in Hong Kong, followed up by a showing at The Aldrich, then at in NY at The Standard Hotel, followed by an appearance at his museum show in Atlanta, and finally at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Releases: KAWS – “Companion: Resting Place” Figure (Mono & Black)

For the completists out there (see original colorway) or those that just want new figure from KAWS that is a remix of one of his classic characters, you may be interested to hear that that the Mono and Black versions of his Resting Place Companion is set to be released. Many of them will be released through a lottery system for those lining up at the OriginalFake store in Tokyo on February 23rd and hopefully some will hit Kawsone shortly thereafter.
