Streets: Jeremy Fish & Sam Flores in Guadalajara

After Jeremy Fish (featured) finished up with his show at Fifty24PDX (covered), he traveled to Gudalajara, Mexico to give a talk and run a workshop with Sam Flores (interviewed). SDCC ’10: Sculptures, Toys, and Figures

As we previewed prior to Comic Con, the weekend event featured the unveiling of some fantastic sculptures and figures by artists we all know and love, including those by Jeff Soto, Travis Louie, David Choe, Shepard Fairey, Yoskay Yamamoto, and Luke Chueh. Earlier this month, Last Rites Gallery in New York hosted “Lead Poisoning”, a group show that included a surprisingly strong list of participants. Artists like David Stoupakis, Eric White (interviewed), Glenn Barr, Ron English (featured), Chet Zar, Esao Andrews (interviewed), Chris Mars, Greg Simkins (interviewed), Robert Williams, Brian Despain (interviewed) and many others contributed drawings to exhibition. SDCC ’10: Omi : Unmasked Party @ Bar Basic

On Thursday night, Munky King unveiled their newest product, the Omi mask, with a release party at Bar Basic in San Diego. Of more interest to us, was the live painting on larger replica masks that went down at the event featuring Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) , Joe Ledbetter, Aaron “Angry Woebots” Martin, and David Flores. Openings: Jeremy Fish – “The Road Less Traveled Tour” @ Upper Playground PDX

Jeremy Fish (featured) “The Road Less Traveled Tour,” which started in Denver, has reached it’s last stop at Fifty24PDX, Upper Playground Portland branch. As usual, the Fish mobile, Jeremy’s infamous van, was on site, bringing with it paintings, prints, books, and of course the man of the hour.
