Releases: Mark Ryden – “Daisy” Brooch

For those that missed Mark Ryden’s magnificent recent Los Angeles showing (covered) at Kohn Gallery, here’s your chance to own a piece of the action. This new release from Porterhouse features his Daisy drawing from The Gay 90s: West, placed on a brooch. Priced at $99 and sized at 2″ x 1-1/2″ x 3/8″, the memento comes in a black velvet pouch and with a certificate of authenticity. If interested, head over here to add it to your collection. Fans of Mark Ryden on the West Coast have been anxiously awaiting the postponed solo that they have been anticipating since the Los Angeles-based artist’s showing in New York in 2010 (covered). The Gay 90s: West is now slated to open on May 3rd and will be the inaugural show for Kohn Gallery’s new 12,000-square foot space (1227 N. Releases: Mark Ryden – “Awakening The Moon” Print

This Wednesday, February 26th, at 8:00 AM PST, Mark Ryden will be releasing another print through Porterhouse. Entitled Awakening the Moon, the edition will be limited to 500, be sized at 38″ x 25.5″, and cost $500. Each one will be signed and numbered and be a nice addition to your collection. LA Art Show ’14: Littletopia

Last week when AM stopped by the LA Art Show, we made sure to pay a visit to the special Littletopia section curated by Red Truck Gallery. Featuring an array of artists and art that is seldom seen at the event, this part of the fair saw a healthy and steady stream of visitors. Participants included galleries like Sloan Fine Art, Breeze Block, La Luz de Jesus, Last Rites, Roq La Rue, Spoke Art, Thinkspace, and Varnish Fine Art.
