Currently through Social Animals, JR, Os Gemeos, and Pharrell have a followup release to their BOOMBOX sculptural edition from last year (covered). 1983 – The Album (12″ vinyl) features four exclusive tracks by Pharrell & OsG, as well as the artwork from the twins and a photo taken by JR of Pharrell in the packaging as well as in a print. There is a simple and deluxe edition of this collaborative effort, both of which along with the BOOMBOX can be purchased here.

Recently in Stockholm, Os Gemeos finished a mural on Fiskargatan 9 on the side of a multistory building featuring their distinctive imagery. Organized by All You See Is Crime In The City and supported by Highlights Store, Montana Colors official distributor in Sweden, the piece depicts a few of the Brazilian duo’s yellow-skinned characters. Pirelli HangarBicocca recently released a new book documenting the creation of Os Gemeos’ intervention for their Outside the Cube project (covered). Efêmero includes exclusive photo documentation of the project along with text by project curator Cedar Lewisohn as well as an overview of the duo’s most important artworks. For this year’s Monoco GP, Os Gemeos have designed a special helmet for fellow countryman and Formula One driver Felipe Massa. With the relaxing of the rule forcing drivers to keep a single helmet design for a whole year (now allowed one special set of colors once per season), the Brazilian racer took advantage and asked the artistic duo to create the imagery for the new headwear including a painted version of his wife and son on the top. As previously reported, Os Gemeos recently spent some time in Milan, working on the first intervention in a new program by Pirelli’s HangarBicocca – Outside the Cube. After collaborating with JR (interviewed) in Paris on some meaningful pieces (covered), Os Gemeos traveled to Milan to paint the inaugural mural for the “Outside the Cube” project.
