Showing: Os Gemeos – “The Bunker” @ Museu Casa do Pontal

Earlier today, Museu Casa do Pontal in Rio de Janeiro unveiled the first ever permanent installation from the Brazilian street savants – Os Gemeos. Entitled The Bunker, the piece features a statue of their famous yellowskinned character enclosed within a concrete bunker. Upcoming: Os Gemeos @ Museu Casa do Pontal

On Saturday, the 31st of January, Museu Casa do Pontal will be inaugurating new work by Brazilian artists Os Gemeos. Created exclusively for this institution, the twins’ first permanent installation will be entitled The Bunker. The activities will begin in the afternoon at the Municipal Theatre, in Bandeirantes, Rio de Janeiro, with an open conversation with artists Gustavo & Otavio Pandolfo, mediated by curators Paul Portela and Angela Mascelani, followed by the installation reveal and a live concert by Siba. Streets: Os Gemeos (Vancouver) – Final

After roughly three weeks of intense work, Os Gemeos recently finished their new mural for the Vancouver Biennale (Part I, Part II). The six large silos they painted on Granville Island continues their ongoing series of large murals titled Giants, and is now officially their biggest one to date. Covering the entire 70-foot (21 metre) tall structure, this incredible piece of work is their contribution to Biennale’s strong connection with sculpture. Although it has only been several days since we first reported on the start of a massive new 3D mural that Os Gemeos are working on for the Vancouver Biennale, twin brothers Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo have already made huge progress on this project. Os Gemeos are currently in Vancouver working on an impressive outdoor project organized by the Vancouver Biennale. Painting six large silos, on the full 360 degree surface covering 23,500 square feet (7,162 square metres), this is going to be their biggest mural to date, and their first one in Canada. With this project, the twins are joining the impressive roster of international artists including Ai Weiwei, Andy Goldsworthy, Vik Muniz and Jonathan Borofsky in transforming Vancouver into an open air museum for the 2014-2016 Vancouver Biennale. Openings: Os Gemeos – “A ópera da lua” (The Moon Opera) @ Galpão Fortes Vilaça

Yesterday, the long anticipated return of hometown street art heroes happened in Sao Paulo at Galpão Fortes Vilaça when Os Gemeos opened their solo show. Os Gemeos 737 Boeing

After painting a whole train back in 2011, Brazilian brothers and legendary graffiti artists, Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo aka Os Gemeos, recently raised the bar even further.
