Baby Tattooville ’15: Secret Store

Always one of the things attendees look forward to, Baby Tattooville’s Secret Store opened last night at 9pm sharp. Prints, originals, publications, and other art products from this year’s participating artists (Anthony Ausgang, Sas Christian, Olivia De Berardinis, Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, Bosko Hrnjak, Marion Peck, KRK Ryden, Mark Ryden, and Isabel Samaras) were made available to each customer in the order of their specific numbers, with the people with most seniority having first dibs on purchases. Releases: Luke Chueh / 1xRUN – “Graffiti” Print

Another artist participating in this year’s Murals In The Market in Detroit has released a print in association with the event. Luke Chueh’s (interviewed) contribution through 1xRUN is entitled Graffiti, a tongue-in-cheek image based on a painting from 2008 entitled Graffiti (I Don’t Do…). Releases: Jen Stark – “Drip Cascade” Print

On Thursday, September 24th, Jen Stark will be releasing a new good-sized print entitled Drip Cascade. The imagery used is easily recognizable as one from a series of works from the Los Angeles-based artist playing with psychedelic colors and patterns. Produced in an edition of 200 (with 9 AP’s), it measures 24″ x 30″, and will cost $550. Head over here at 4 pm Eastern Time if you are interested in adding it to your collection. Jeff Soto (interviewed) has just teamed up with 1xRUN for a print release entitled Owl Of Infinite Knowledge. This newest offering from the Riverside-based artist featuring the nocturnal bird of prey is part of the Murals In The Market Featured Artist Print Series, corresponding with the Murals In the Market festival opening later this week. Releases: Kozyndan – “Captives: Orcas and Pandas” Print

Later today, Kozyndan will be releasing a new print from their webstore entitled Captives: Orcas and Pandas. The new image is the third in their Animal OddCouples series of works where they pair two animals that struggle due to human activity around the world. They may be different species, but their struggle for survival is that same against mankind’s aggression and carelessness. For those interested, Aurel Schmidt just released a new print though Exhibition A entitled Buddha, an image taken from her recent series of work entitled New Gods. Sized generously at 30.5″ x 27.5″, the edition will be limited to a run of 50 and cost $350. Tomorrow (August 25th) between 10 – 11 am PDT, Shepard Fairey (featured) will be releasing a new edition entitled Water Is The New Black. The print will come in a run of 450 and cost $55 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the National Resources Defense Council. On August 25th, Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be making new print available through the Antler Gallery website at 11 am PDT and cost $275. The signed and numbered edition is slated for a run of 200 with the measurements at a paper size of 18″x34″ and image size of 15.5″x30.5″. A percentage from the sale of each print will be donated to Big Cats Initiative.
