Releases: Ian Francis – “Reflective Encounter” & “Two People Feed A Lion” Prints

Those who enjoyed the stunning new works from Ian Francis (featured) for a showing earlier this summer (covered) at Lazarides had an opportunity earlier this week to purchase some prints of images seen at the exhibition. The gallery released limited editions (run of 20) featuring the British artist’s masterful melding of photorealistic and abstract imagery through their webstore. Releases: Nick Walker – “The Last Ride” Print

Nick Walker (interviewed) will have a new print entitled The Last Ride on sale on Monday, the 12th October, at 3.30pm DST UK time. The print was inspired by a portrait by Butterfly featuring the UK artist in his signature vandal outfit riding a carousel horse next to the Eiffel Tower during a visit to the French capital. Releaese: Dalek – “Untitled 101” Print

James Marshall aka Dalek (interviewed) recently released a 38 color handpulled silkscreen through Dynamo Editions. Untitled 101 comes with a paper size of 26 inches by 26 inches and an image size of 24 1/2 inches x 24 1/2 inches and was produced in an edition size of 50. FinBec winery in Sion, Switzerland, is continuing their annual MyFinBec art project with a completely new concept. This year, they are commissioning artists to paint canvases for their limited edition organic wines, as well as number of sketches on wood panels, and they just announced their first artist for this year is Bezt from Etam Cru, who also collaborated with the winery last year (covered). Three years since her last official print release, Katrin Fridriks last week released her latest edition Royal Gene&Ethics with Lazarides Editions. Being a perfectionist on all levels of her production, this print was over a year in the making and the final result looks truly impressive. Another artist participating in this year’s Murals In The Market in Detroit has released a print in association with the event. Luke Chueh’s (interviewed) contribution through 1xRUN is entitled Graffiti, a tongue-in-cheek image based on a painting from 2008 entitled Graffiti (I Don’t Do…). Releases: Jen Stark – “Drip Cascade” Print

On Thursday, September 24th, Jen Stark will be releasing a new good-sized print entitled Drip Cascade. The imagery used is easily recognizable as one from a series of works from the Los Angeles-based artist playing with psychedelic colors and patterns. Jeff Soto (interviewed) has just teamed up with 1xRUN for a print release entitled Owl Of Infinite Knowledge. This newest offering from the Riverside-based artist featuring the nocturnal bird of prey is part of the Murals In The Market Featured Artist Print Series, corresponding with the Murals In the Market festival opening later this week. Releases: Mark Jenkins – “Baby” Limited Editions

In association with the new solo from Mark Jenkins (interviewed) that just opened at the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles (covered), the artist has released some limited editions through Freeway Editions. The Baby tape sculptures come in four different colors and are produced in a run of 10 each and is something every fan of the American street artist recognizes as the medium that is his original claim to fame.
