Later today, Kozyndan will be releasing a new print from their webstore entitled Captives: Orcas and Pandas. The new image is the third in their Animal OddCouples series of works where they pair two animals that struggle due to human activity around the world. They may be different species, but their struggle for survival is that same against mankind’s aggression and carelessness. Releases: Aurel Schmidt – “Buddha” Print

For those interested, Aurel Schmidt just released a new print though Exhibition A entitled Buddha, an image taken from her recent series of work entitled New Gods. Sized generously at 30.5″ x 27.5″, the edition will be limited to a run of 50 and cost $350. Psychedelic Space is the soon to be released book from Kelsey Brookes from Gingko Press that explores his last three years of work. The 216 page hardcover documents his more recent paintings, spanning four solo shows, the explosive patterns that are his artistic vision of molecular structures of the psychedelic nature. In association with his upcoming show in Detroit, Cleon Peterson has released a series of sculptural editions for fans who want to see his brutal imagery taken to the third dimension. The three offered sculpts come in an edition of ten in three different colorways (black, white, and gold), mirroring the palette of the provocative artist’s paintings. Tomorrow (August 25th) between 10 – 11 am PDT, Shepard Fairey (featured) will be releasing a new edition entitled Water Is The New Black. The print will come in a run of 450 and cost $55 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the National Resources Defense Council. On August 25th, Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be making new print available through the Antler Gallery website at 11 am PDT and cost $275. The signed and numbered edition is slated for a run of 200 with the measurements at a paper size of 18″x34″ and image size of 15.5″x30.5″. A percentage from the sale of each print will be donated to Big Cats Initiative.
