One of the main events of this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii was the release of a POW! WOW! 2104 Featured Artists Series of limited edition prints by the 1xRun, as well as the opening of their popup show along with the Pangeaseed organization. Releases: Jeff Soto – “Seeker Friends Elements: Air” Print

For those who enjoyed the Seeker Friends prints from Jeff Soto (interviewed), he will be revisiting the series with a new set of Elements. Currently for sale as a timed release from the Riverside-based artist is Air (6″ x 6″), available at Prints on Wood. POW WOW ’14 & 1xRUN Prints & Show

The annual POW! WOW! art retreat in Hawaii starts this weekend and 1xRUN will be on site to work on a special show at Loft in Space / Fresh Cafe set to open on February 14th. They have also partnered with Pangea Seed, a local non profit, to exhibit prints from their archives and their new Sametan figure customized by over 30 artists. The UK-based D*Face (interviewed) will be traveling to Stephen Webster’s Beverly Hills for the US launch of his book One Man and His Dog on Wednesday, February 5th (5-8pm). Along with the standard edition of the monograph, a special box set (limited to 50, $250) will be available which includes a six color screen print. Paris-based online gallery PrintThemAll.com released a lithograph edition by the Polish artist Sainer, who together with Bezt, form the infamous Etam Cru. Coinciding with the opening of his sold out solo show in Paris (covered), this was a true fine art release from the young artist. The newest VICE magazine features the artwork of David Choe (featured) gracing its cover on what they refer to as their The Horse Is a Horse of Course of Course issue. Camille Rose Garcia (interviewed) recently released a new limited edition through Roq La Rue to partially benefit Bat Conservation International. Fitting in perfectly with her recent imagery featuring the winged creature, I Will Be Here When You Fall will be produced in a run of 100, be sized at 9″ x 12″, and cost $250 with $130 of each print going to the conservation efforts.
