Releases: Remi/Rough – ‘Phenomenology 0.1′ Screenprint

Literally hot off the presses comes this new release from Remi/Rough – his first screenprint entitled ‘Phenomenology 0.1’. Bursting with vibrant colours, this hand pulled print comes in an edition of 50 copies and is published by Laura McNamara. The 30 x 30 inch four coloured prints are a well priced £125, and is now available to grab here. Discuss Remi/Rough here.

Releases: Ryan McGinley – “Life Adjustment Center” Book

Coinciding with his show at Ratio 3, Dashwood Books is releasing a book based on Ryan McGinley’s “Life Adjustment Center” (covered) exhibition. The book will ship Nov 8, but you can pre-order yours today. It is $45, hardcover, 7″ x 9.5″, and an edition of 3,000. Dashwood also has a few copies of his last book (their first with the artist) as well, which you should pick up soon, if you’ve been sleeping on it. Discuss Ryan McGinley here.

Our friends at Hi-Fructose will be releasing their Hi-Fructose Collected Edition Vol. 2 tomorrow (November 4th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm) at the SFMOMA. There will be limited edition box sets and hardcover editions saved especially for this event, but even more exciting is that there will be an artist signing including appearances by Audrey Kawasaki, Camille Rose Garcia, Ferris Plock, Amy Sol, and Mars-1 as well as founders/editors Annie Owens and Attaboy. We just came across Stephen Powers aka ESPO’s updated website, First and Fifteenth, this morning and saw that there is a host of back catalog goodness available, such as this ‘Superfeen‘ screenprint on plastic from 2002. They come from an edition of 300, but we assumed they were long sold out. One of our favorite images from Jeff Soto’s (featured) show (covered) last June at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery, “The Seeker” has is being released as a print. The painting depicts one of the art toys that Jeff released recently at SDCC, and would make a nice companion piece for any collector out there. RETNA, in association with Rivera and Rivera, has teamed up with master print maker Claudio Stickar (who has been the personal master print maker for Richard Serra, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg, among others) for an edition of 12 monotypes. Each monotype is an original, measures a substantial 30″x44″on Arches Rives BFK 280GSM 100% cotton paper with fringed edges and are signed and embossed. Mark Ryden fans rejoice (especially those in the greater Los Angeles area). This Thursday, October 21st (8:00 a.m. PDT), Porterhouse will be releasing a limited edition (run of 500) lithograph of one of Ryden’s most beloved images – “The Tree of Life.” The reason? To commemorate the fact that the painting will be on exhibition in “The Artist’s Museum, Los Angeles Artists 1980-2010” show at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) starting on October 31st.
