Releases: kozyndan – “Spring in Nakano” for Giant Robot Biennale 2 @ Japanese American National Museum

Famous for their panoramics, kozyndan created one just for the Giant Robot Biennalle (teased) opening next weekend at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM).  Entitled “Nakano in Spring,” the piece will be released as a print (limited to 1200) sized approximately at 39″ x 8,” each is signed and numbered.  Take a look at this nice 360 degree QuickTimeVR that they created of the image. Releases: Nick Walker – Moscow TMA print

Remember when we told you about the Nick Walker (interviewed) TMA – “The Empire’s State” release in January?  Looks like another TMA (The Morning After) print may be available soon, this time Moscow.  Believed to be possibly the last image to be released in this series, Nick has also posted a mysterious countdown timer on his site (28 days left as of now).  Countdown to the print release, to a new show?  Stay tuned… Discuss Nick Walker here.

Semi-Permanent Melbourne ’09: Jeff Soto & Tara McPherson

Here you see Jeff Soto (interviewed) doing his best Shepard Fairey imitation, but what he is really doing is asking all of you to register and attend Semi-Permanent in Melbourne next week where he and Tara McPherson will be speaking. We’ve received some pretty interesting news from the Clayton Brothers, who recently had a show at Patrick Painter (covered) – a limited edition release that includes both a publication “Caught Being Good” and a hand finished giclee entitled “Floret” all enclosed in a slick Lucite box. Releases: Shepard Fairey x Michael Jordan x Upper Deck – Hall of Fame Tribute Series

We recently tipped you off about the upcoming Michael Jordan Hall of Fame Tribute Series created by Shepard Fairey and Upper Deck. Now the final two images have been revealed. The first is of his Hall of Fame induction portrait and second of his “Air-ness” in his UNC blue days. The first release is the complete set (signed by both Jordan and Shepard) available on ObeyGiant.com tomorrow, Sept 17th. Shepard Fairey x Upper Deck – Michael Jordan

Check out the latest Shepard Fairey x Upper Deck collaboration of the king of hoops: Michael Jordan. Shepard is picking up where he left off last year with his Purple/Gold Kobe Bryant “MVP” print. As with the Kobe x UD x Fairey print, this will most likely be released only through Upper Deck’s website and will most likely be signed by BOTH Shep and MJ. Releases: Murakami – Inochi Figures

The Inochi figures from Takashi Murakami, that we first featured here in April when they were exhibited at Kaikai Kiki, are finally going on sale tomorrow, August 28th at honeyee.  The figures are small scale replicas of the Murakami sculpture (seen here) with production handled by Medicom. Limited to 200 of each of the five colorways, it will cost you a cool $1500 to bring “Zhang,” “Victor,” “Bob,” “David,” or “Yamamoto” home. More pics after the jump.

Releases: Kaws x Undercover Bear Companion

Here are some new images of the collaboration release from Undercover with their classic “eye-censored” bear and Kaws’ companion figure.  Sitting together, perhaps Mori Chack-style, the figure comes in white as well as black.  Priced at about $135, look for the release on August 29th at Undercover locations across Japan and perhaps Original Fake as well.
