New Group Show @ Library Street Collective

On February 27th, the Library Street Collective will be opening a group show at their Detroit space featuring a diverse selection of artists spanning different genres. Streets: World Roundup (Jul 21 – Aug 3)

Leading things off on this edition of our Streets: World Roundup is this new mural from Vhils (via Hookedblog) for the Phytology Project. The wall is situated on a side street just off Bethnal Green Road (the station end) in the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve and is part of a series of year-long artist commissions taking place in the reserve. Basel Week Miami ’13: Miami Project

The Miami Project successfully launched its second rendition during Basel week with a well-curated selection of U.S. galleries, including such notable names as Yossi Milo, Joshua Liner, Mark Moore, Richard Heller and David B. Smith. Located in the Wynwood Arts District, the young art fair focused on primary representation of emerging and mid-career artists, which was a nice counterpoint to its much larger neighbor, Art Miami. Recently, Ryan McGinness unveiled a custom black light ping-pong table that he designed for SPiN Standard at The Standard, Downtown LA. The New York-based artist stuck true to his graphic style for this custom table, utilizing his trademark iconography and design aesthetics to convey a complex and poetic concept.
