On Thursday, July 21st, Pejac revealed his long awaited London solo show for a private viewing. Installed as a popup at the Londonewcastle Project Space on Redchurch Street, Law of the Weakest included around 30 pieces created in the last couple of months exclusively for this event. Last month, Francisco “Jaz” Fasoli revealed the first piece in a series of upcoming bronze sculpture editions. Sculpted by the artist himself, the untitled sculpt was produced in Barcelona in a limited edition of only 8 pieces. Although well known for his large figurative murals depicting hybrid creatures, this is the first time the Argentina-born artist has created a 3D piece. Upcoming: Kris Kuksi – “New Rome” @ Mark Moore Gallery

Tomorrow night (July 9th) in Los Angeles, Mark Moore Gallery will be presenting new sculptural assemblages from Kris Kuksi. Entitled New Rome, the exhibition will be the Kansas-based artist’s second showing with the gallery which will once again highlight his “hybrid style of baroque and rococo that deeply examine the human psyche.” The complex sculptures, sometimes over 10 feet wide, are painstakingly put together using things like figurines, model parts, collectibles, craft parts, and jewelry. Openings: KAWS – “BFF” @ Central Embassy (Bangkok)

A couple of days ago, Central Embassy in Bangkok unveiled the latest large-scale sculpture from KAWS, standing 8 meters tall outside their complex. Produced with the help of curator AllRightsReserved, the event also featured a plush version of the figure, which looked to be a cross between Elmo & The Cookie Monster, remixed the the Brooklyn-based artist’s double-x eyes and skull & cross bones. Haroshi – “Battle At The Berrics 9” Trophy

As he has done in the past (see 5 & 7), sculptor Haroshi (featured) recently created the trophy for the ninth edition of the Battle At The Berrics. Perfectly matched with the contest held at the indoor skatepark in Los Angeles, the Japanese artist chose this time to create his version of the number 9 with his usual medium of choice – used skatedecks. The twelfth edition of the Volta Fair in Basel returned to its dome home at Markthalle.
