The Shepard Fairey’s (featured) mural on Bowery & Houston that we first teased here looks to be pretty much finished. Entitled “These Parties Disgust Me”, the piece is about the dysfunction of the two-party political system in Washington and also about encouraging activism. The famous location, hosted by Deitch Projects, was recently the site of an amazing Os Gemeos mural, but now is home to the new Obey mural in preparation for the opening of the “May Day” show opening on May 1st. The famed mural space on Soho’s Houston Street is about to cycle on to the next artist. Looks like more information is coming out about the upcoming Shepard Fairey show at Deitch Projects (teased).
