Update: Conor Harrington – “Dead Meat” @ Lazarides

As we mentioned about a month ago, Conor Harrington (interviewed) is set to open his solo show Dead Meat at Lazarides (Rathbone Place) on March 2nd. Taking his imagery in a new direction, the UK-based artist focuses in on a behind-the-scenes look at men of power in the 18th century when Europe’s might was at its peak. POW WOW ’12: Suitman

For this year’s POW WOW, we see the return of performance artist, Young Kim aka Suitman. The versatile man of many talents continued expanding his longstanding  suit-photography series which he also explored during last year’s Pow Wow. With all the portraits created from the attendees from the opening night a year ago, Suitman pasted up and hand-finished two site specific outdoor murals to be displayed in the neighborhood of Kaka’ako thus giving a “distinguished” face to the event’s name. Check out more after the jump.
