This past weekend, AM caught the opening of the Date Farmers, Eric White (interviewed), Nicola Verlato and Fulvio Di Piazza at Jonathan Levine Gallery. Preview: TrustoCorp – “An Overt Display of Mischief and Mayhem” @ Brooklyn Brothers Gallery

Opening later tonight at the Brooklyn Brothers Gallery in New York is TrustoCorp’s debut exposition/party. Entitled “An Overt Display of Mischief and Mayhem”, expect just that from the street art conglomerate. Video: Ed Templeton – “The Cemetery of Reason” @ S.M.A.K.

Ed Templeton recently opened his biggest museum show ever in Belgium at S.M.A.K with over 1200 works from all over the world serving as a mid-career survey for the American photographer and contemporary artist. “The Cemetery of Reason” features old and new work including paintings, photographs, silkscreens, and painted objects, many of which are arranged into some pretty awesome clusters. Last Saturday night marked the opening of Jeff Gillette’s solo at Copro Gallery, “Dismayland”. If you made the obvious connection between the name he chose for the show and the happiest place on earth, then you would be right. Coming in October, Karen Chau is set to make her debut with Sloan Fine Art and we’ve got special teaser images of some of the works that art going to be at the special Halloween showing. For those that may not immediately know the Chinese painter, look closer… You may recognize her style as she’s the creator of one of our favorite children’s cartoon Ni Hao, Kai-Lan currently on Nickelodeon.
