Last week, Urban Nation curated an event in Reykjavic in association with the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival where participants were paired with an audio artist who provided the visual artist with a song, a title, a poem, a quote or a book that greatly influenced their work. Previews: Adam Neate – “Dimensionalist Painter” @ Elms Lester

In what has become an annual tradition, Elms Lester in London will be showing new work from Adam Neate (interviewed) starting later today (October 2). As indicated from the title of the solo exhibition, Dimensionalist Painter, the British artist has been known for his unique three dimensional sculptural painting technique that results in works that engage viewers on multiple levels. The 25 new works feature familiar subjects such as portraiture and self-portraiture, but also experiments with new themes. Discuss Adam Neate here.

After a successful first event in 2014 (covered), the public arts program No Limit Borås in Sweden is back this year with a stellar list of artist. Chinese artist DALeast (interviewed) was one of the people invited to paint in the city of Borås, an opportunity he took to paint one of his expansive bird murals. One year since his last show with the gallery, Pablo Delgado is back in London with Opens Tomorrow Morning currently showing at Howard Griffin Gallery. Upcoming: EVOL – “Mind the Gap” @ Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale

For the upcoming Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale in Russia, the Berlin-based EVOL has prepared a special installation featuring his signature reproduction of urban structures. The twist on this piece though, entitled Mind the Gap, is the red-tinged separation that runs right down the center of the buildings. The 11th biennale opens in Karsnoyarsk, Siberia at the Krasnoyarsk Museum Center on September 30th. Releases: Bezt (Etam cru) x MyFinBec 2015

FinBec winery in Sion, Switzerland, is continuing their annual MyFinBec art project with a completely new concept. This year, they are commissioning artists to paint canvases for their limited edition organic wines, as well as number of sketches on wood panels, and they just announced their first artist for this year is Bezt from Etam Cru, who also collaborated with the winery last year (covered).
