Mogul Damon Dash has successfully navigated the world of media and fashion for years from his Manhattan home base. Now, he’s turning his focus on the world of art. Last weekend, AM was on hand for the private opening of the Dash Gallery in the heart New York’s storied Tribeca district. Just recently, the Joshua Liner Gallery gave notice that they were revising their schedule to include an exciting surprise show opening March 18 by the NYC/Tokyo-based artist collective The Barnstormers. It looks like Swoon (Interviewed) recently visited Philadelphia and gifted the city of brotherly love with some of her street pieces. In town for Philagrafika 2010, the city’s international festival celebrating print in contemporary art, Swoon’s wheatpastes blended in nicely with the snowy landscape. TrustoCorp, who we last saw in Los Angeles and Miami, has recently hit up New York City with a fresh batch of newly modified street signs. Now implementing government-grade reflective vinyl in all their work, TrustoCorp’s latest campaign blends in almost seamlessly with the urban landscape, yet still maintains enough of a presence to be noticed by the NY Post. Word on the street is that TrustoCorp will be heading to San Francisco next, stay tuned!

One the most well-known and celebrated female street artists, Miss Van, recently opened her show “She-Wolves” (previewed) at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles.
