Hamburg-based collector Rik Reinking is displaying his collection of urban art for all to see at the Weserburg Museum in Germany. The show includes works from Herbert Baglione, Banksy, Blu, Boxi, Brad Downey, Mark Jenkins, Miss Van, Mode 2, Os GÃªmeos, Mirko Reisser (DAIM), Shepard Fairey, Space Invader, Swoon, Zevs among others. The exhibition will be supplemented by an attractive supporting program with workshops, walks through town, film evenings, discussions and work in the streets. Last night, the Carmichael GalleryÂ in Hollywood pulled no punches with their all-star show, “Get Rich Quick!,” showcasing the strongest talents in the street and urban art genre. Some scorching hot pieces lined the gallery’s walls for the exhibition, including: a rare BanksyÂ canvas, a KAWS ad disruption, boxes and screen-printed collages fromÂ Faile, to originals by Barry McGeeÂ and Micallef and much more. On the Streets: Blu x Swoon – Barcelona

Italian street artist extraordinaire Blu recently was invited to speak in Barcelona at the fifth annual “Influencers” festival hosted by the Center of Contemporary Culture (CCCB).Â He was also commissioned to put up this fantastic mural of a giant shark made of money devouring old painted slogans as well as bearing down on a Swoon wheatpaste (although we are not sure if this was a collaboration). Openings: 15 Years of New Image Art

Last night’s opening for “15 Years of New Image Art” (previewed here and here) reaffirmed why New Image Art is one of the primary driving forces in the alternative/low-brow/street art scene. The show was everything we thought it would be and more – great art, an energetic crowd, and non-stop entertainment. Tonight marks the opening of New Image Art’s anniversary show “15 Years of New Image Art” (previewed). AM swung by the gallery yesterday to check out the progress of the installation. While we were there, Judith Supine was putting on the finishing touches to his 18’x16′ kinetic sculpture and Neck Face was customizing a motorcycle in his uniquely raw style. Black Rat Press @ the London Art Fair

As previously mentioned, Black Rat Press exhibited at the London Art Fair where they showed works by Swoon, Matt Small, Lucas Price, Asha Zero, Brian Adam Douglas, D*Face and Nick Walker.Â As expected, Walker’s print sold out, but there were actually some pretty good originals available.Â In particular, Swoon’s and Matt Small’s pieces were quite strong.Â Take a look after the jump.
