Anish Kapoor, arguably the most famous sculptor alive, recently returned to India for his first solo exhibition split between Delhi at the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, the city where he was born. You may remember earlier this year, July to be exact, when we shared some photos with you of the traveling museum exhibition TRANSFER when it opened at the Brazilian Cultural Pavilion. Well, Barry McGee, whom we last saw at Art Basel Week, had a part in that exhibition and here is footage to prove it. Last Thursday, AM was in London’s Soho district to attend the opening of Marks & Stencils: the Pictures On Walls Christmas season pop-up gallery exhibition, which in previous years has gone by the name of Santa’s Ghetto. There was a great atmosphere at the event. Video: “Destricted” Trailer

The controversial collection of shorts entitled Destricted was recently released onto DVD. The US version which features famed artists like Richard Prince and Marilyn Minter as directors consists of an ongoing series of films that explore the line where art and pornography intersect. When the UK version was released in 2006, it won awards at a range of international film festivals including Cannes, but encountered some problems predictably getting released in the States until now.
