This past weekend, the Known Gallery presented their latest exhibit titled White Wash which featured artwork from graffiti artist POSE and photography by KC Ortiz. Starting with POSE, his work featured fifteen new works which filled the gallery’s main floor. Cuban American artist Jorge Rodriguez-Guerada, known for his large scale charcoal photorealistic portraits on buildings since the 90s, will be presenting a new solo show (catalogue) at Galería Ignacio de Lassaletta, Barcelona on November 24th. The body of work will consist of a new collection of “Urban Analogies” made of charcoal drawings on 250 years old walls surfaces and “Memorylithics” sculptures using antique architectural elements. Over the weekend, the Corey Helford Gallery debuted a new collection of work from artist and visual satirist Ron English (featured). Titled Seasons in Superbia, the show featured the NY-based artist’s ironic take on everything ranging from Peanuts characters to other pop culture icons from the comic book world, film, and animation. Last week, Galerie Perrotin paid host to French photographer and street artist JR in their Paris showspace when he displayed a new body of work entitled Encrages. Featuring his outdoor technique translated onto smaller found objects, the exhibition brought together many of the TED prize winner’s previous projects as we talked about in our studio visit leading up to the show. Later today, at a random time here, El Mac will be releasing a rare print through Moon Editions in San Francisco. Entitled Prayer, this limited edition is based on a painting from a show earlier this year and will come in three different colors – Vermilion Red (edition of 49), Metallic Copper (edition of 39), and Teal Blue variant (Edition of 9).
