Kickstarter: Painted Oceans

Yesterday, Tristan Eaton revealed a project he has been working on getting started for the past five years – a plan to paint the Red Sands Sea Forts off the coast of the UK along with Shepard Fairey, Futura, How & Nosm, and The London Police. Although the proposal does have its naysayers who bring up some valid points, the ultimate goal is to bring enough attention to these historic structures built during World War II thereby generating enough money to hopefully preserve these for […]

Basel Week Miami ’14 / Streets: The London Police

While attending this year’s Basel Week Miami, we also walked by a new mural painted by The London Police in the Wynwood district. Take a look at more detailed shots of the wall in the photos below… See all our coverage of Basel Week Miami here. Discuss The London Police here.

Recap / Streets: No Limit Boras Festival

The Swedish city of Boras recently hosted a street art event between the 4th and 7th of September. Inviting some recognizable names from the street art world, the organizers of the No Limit Boras Festival were aiming to turn the city’s public space into an outdoor exhibition. Following the worldwide trend of inviting street artists to beautify dull urban facades, this event in a way opposes the strict “zero tolerance” policy that’s in effect all around the country. We recently received these photos of the finished murals by Kobra from Brazil […]

The duo painted their iconic LADS characters alongside buildings and inside local business, leaving a trail of art for fans to follow. Upping the ante were pieces that they hid around town that “escaped” the main large-scale mural. Take a look at a sampling of these walls in the photos below… Photo credit: Chris Breeden.
