Steve “ESPO” Powers’ (featured) recently opened a solo show in New York for the first time in seven years and it was a doozy. As mentioned in our studio visit (here & here), this new body of work entitled A Word is Worth A Thousand Pictures was fresh and to the point in a manner that is simply ESPO-esqe. Exhibited at Joshua Liner Gallery, works large and small from tremendous enamel on aluminum centerpieces to delicate nuggets of wisdoms called Daily Metaltations were on display. Created with the wit and character of Mr. Power’s complex yet simple visual language, it’s an exhibition that should resonate with almost anyone. The show will be up for viewing until September 29th, so be sure to stop by if you’re in NYC.
