AM was on hand for a special preview night last Friday to witness the opening of two enticing shows at Jonathan Levine Gallery. Many of New York’s art scene, including Tara McPherson, David Choe, Esao Andrews, Adam Wallacavage, Sara Tecchia, Joshua Liner, and Travis Louie, came out to support the show. Â AM had the chance to stop by Joshua Liner GalleryÂ to check out two great shows: Unexpected Occurrences by Oliver VernonÂ and Unfinished Business by CrashÂ (previewed). Both of these artists took us by surprise with their unique styles. When AM visited James Jeanâ€™s “Kindling” show at Jonathan Levine (here), the gallery served up some delicious wine with some of JJ’s artwork on it. Turns out that James designed three series of wine labels for California-based Grateful Palate. There are three different types of wine in the line: “Southern Belle” Shiraz, “Diddley Boo” Riesling, and “Poor Thing” Grenache. Each bottle has one of three different artwork on the label.
