Releases: Mark Ryden – “Wood Lincoln” Serigraph

It seems our friends at Pressure Printing have been working on a special project with Mark Ryden. Entitled Wood Lincoln, this reoccurring character by Mr. Ryden’s work comes to life in a beautiful 14-color serigraph that comes in a hand carved walnut veneered wood frame measuring 33″ x 27.5″. After a four year long wait, the LA-based James Jean (interviewed) makes his return to New York City with a solo at the Tilton Gallery. Entitled Parallel Lives, JJ created a fresh series of works for fans in the city where he completed his training (SVA) and started his journey in the arts. Julia Chiang – “She’s Crafty” @ New Museum

We recently stopped by the New Museum to check out their latest artistic installation in the main lobby. Entitled She’s Crafty, this holiday pop up project gives 13 female artists a few days to bring their talents to share with museum goers. United Kingdom’s Paul Insect (featured) recently crossed the pond to New York’s Opera Gallery to present a new body of work entitled Out of Chaos. This expansive new show featured a cornucopia for the eyes as Mr. Insect showed viewers the extent of his true talents with numerous mediums on display – from paintings & sculptures to silkscreens & stencils. One of the mainstay satellite fairs in Miami was Art Miami. As previously seen in our coverage of their offshoot fair CONTEXT where pieces purported to be street works from Banksy (not authenticated from PC though), this combined pair of fairs was a feast for the eyes.
