Preview: “Dirty Little Secret” @ Indica on 11th

This Thursday a cool group show will be opening in New York’s Chelsea district at Indica on 11th. The exhibition named “Dirty Little Secret” will be featuring new works from Tobias Keene, Laura Keeble, Paul Hazelton, K-Guy and Nicolas Bowers. This show is curated by our friend and fellow collector Wendy Asher whom you may remember from her appearance in “Exit Through the Gift Shop”. Doors open at 6pm so get there early. Openings: Tiffany Bozic – “Confiding to Strangers” @ Joshua Liner Gallery

Last week, Tiffany Bozic took a fresh batch of works (previewed) to the Joshua Liner Gallery for her exhibition “Confiding to Strangers”. This latest series was breathtaking to say the least as pieces consisting of paper and wood impressed the New York crowd that beelined their way to the show. Apparent in the artwork was Tiffany’s vision and talent that seems to mix Discovery Channel fascination with the imagination of an artist with a unique vision. Openings: Kai-lan (Karen) Chau – “Inner Dialogue” @ Sloan Fine Art

AM recently attended the premiere show for Kai-Lan (Karen) Chau at Sloan Fine Art. The bi-continental artist who works in China and in California for her beloved Nickelodeon hit Ni Hao, Kai-Lan showcased her new body of work that featured animals composed in multiple environments. In addition, Karen took some time to design two detailed fiberglass sculptures from two of her characters. Check it out after the jump.

Openings: Homeroom Redu @ Reed Space

AM attended the opening night for a special charity group show hosted by Reed Space. Coordinated to raise dollars in an effort to offset the lack of funding in today’s public school system. Gathering 5 notable artists: Jose Parla, Scott Campbell, Luis Gispert, Lucien Marc-Smith and Neck Face to donate their artwork to be placed on limited edition posters, tote bags and t-shirts which were available to attendees to purchase. 2010 Whitney Annual Gala & Studio Party
