Takashi Murakami – Inochi Exhibit @ Kaikai KiKi

It seems that some shows get all the glitz & glamour, and some shows just slide in & out without much ruckus. But one things for sure, high profile or not, Takashi Murakami and his Kaikai Kiki juggernaut do not half-step anything. Openings: Draw @ Shooting Gallery SF

Shepard Fairey “Supply & Demand” Museum Retrospective to Travel

It seems that Shepard’s recent drama with the AP and Boston’s finest doesn’t phase the higher-ups in the Contemporary Art world. AM has learned that Shepard Fairey’s debut solo museum exhibition “Supply and Demand,” which opened (covered) at the Boston ICA in February, will be traveling to at least two other museums. Openings: Daniel Danger & Dan McCarthy @ Gallery 1988 SF

Daniel Danger and Dan McCarthy (interviewed) had a successful opening this past weekend at Gallery 1988’s San Francisco location. With many of the originals and prints long sold out before the opening, “The Watcher in the Woods” has proven to be quite an accomplishment for these two artists in their West Coast debut. Preview/Releases: Grafuck 4 @ Nucleus Gallery

My, how time flies.  The fourth installment in the Grafuck series is set to be released this Saturday, April 11th at Nucleus Gallery. Grafuck 4 features a diverse selection of paintings, photography, and graphic design involving erotic themed art.  As usual, there a nice mix of well-known and lesser-known artists participating in this year’s exhibition and book release, including James Jean (interviewed) who created the centerfold for this year (seen above). Release: Hunters, Run! green vinyl X Josh Keyes

Our friends at The Art Collectors are reporting that At Arms LTD. will release a very limited, green vinyl, second pressing of the sold out Hunters, Run! single, which features beautiful art work by Josh Keyes. These will be dropping today sometime before midnight EST, so keep a watchful eye.
