On September 29th Martin Whatson will be opening his first ever solo show in LA, at yet undisclosed location. Previews: Pastel – “Space-Landscape” @ Athen B. Gallery

On September 9th, Pastel will be opening a solo show at Athen B. Gallery in Downtown Oakland entitled Space-Landscape. For his debut solo show in the United States, the Buenos Aires-based artist, whose real name is Francisco Diaz, has prepared a selection of paintings and sculptures that mirror his work on the streets paintings large floral based murals. Following up on her solo there in 2015 (covered), Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed) will be opening a show at  Spoke Art in San Francisco this Thursday, August 31st. Entitled Mago, the new body of work from the Portland-based artist includes paintings and drawings that explore her Korean heritage, traditional folk stories, and her experiences with having a child.
