Dran opened a new pop-up exhibition in London over the weekend entitled Dessin du Jour. As the title suggests, the body of work is dominated by approximately 120 drawings which the artist has been executing on a daily basis in preparation for the show. The pieces individually distill down the small victories and defeats, dreams and doubts and joys and sorrows of everyday life. French artists have taken over the Art Thema Gallery in Brussels for a group show entitled Link featuring French musician and multi-disciplinary artist Charlelie Couture, pioneer street artist Jérôme Mesnager, members of the DMV crew including Blo, Brusk, Jaw and Bom.K, as well as Liliwenn, Arnaud Puig, Kongo, Kurar, Mist, Cedrix Crespel, ColorZ, Éric Liot, Espi, and FenX. Fresh from his pop up show Mixité Sociale (covered) in France, prolific artist Gris1 from the DMV crew returns to Zurich for his second solo show entitled Interview at Kolly Gallery. Gris1, a member of the infamous DMV crew from France, recently opened his Mixité Sociale solo at Galerie Artistik Rezo in Paris on the 13th of January. Releases: Bom.K – “Aérotik Malpa”

French artist Bom.K, member of the infamous DMV crew, recently finished working on his first edition of Aérotik sculptures. These collectible figures are entirely handmade by the artist himself, from its conception, creation to packaging. These characters have been present in BomK’s work for years, as a result of the spray paint fumes, representing an alchemy between the curves of the female body and the cold technicality of the aerosol. French graffiti artist Bom.K will be having his first solo show stateside called Confusions at Known Gallery in Los Angeles. Having exhibited with the DMV crew in Spain, Denmark, Australia, UK and following the success of his last solo show in France (covered here), Bom.k is taking the US by storm. Mastering the spray can with an incredible dexterity and intricate details, he depicts a gritty universe with his monstrous yet captivating creatures. Confusions opens on the 11th of January.
