Releases: JR x Os Gemeos x Pharrell – “1983” Album

Currently through Social Animals, JR, Os Gemeos, and Pharrell have a followup release to their BOOMBOX sculptural edition from last year (covered). 1983 – The Album (12″ vinyl) features four exclusive tracks by Pharrell & OsG, as well as the artwork from the twins and a photo taken by JR of Pharrell in the packaging as well as in a print. There is a simple and deluxe edition of this collaborative effort, both of which along with the BOOMBOX can be purchased here.

Coming up on June 23rd, Ben Tolman will be opening a new show of his incredibly detailed drawings at Jonathan LeVine Projects in New Jersey. The American artist’s artistic vision takes Escher-like influences and combines with them a urban sensibility as well as surreal elements, leading to frenetic compositions that overwhelm the eye in a way that’s uniquely his own. Between the 9th and 15th of May, Peter Opheim held a show at Hankyu Umeda Gallery in Osaka, Japan, as a part of a larger project called New York Art. The showcase is organized by the HPGRP Gallery Tokyo/New York and is his third solo presentation this year after exhibitions in Taipei and Moscow.
