Showing: Delta – “Subduction Zones” @ Muziekgebouw Concert Hall (Amsterdam)

It looks like Boris Tellegen aka Delta has decided to go big since we last saw his work at the Elms Lester show in 2009. These new large-scale floating sculptural works from the Dutch artist are currently on display at Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw Concert Hall and are collectively entitled Subduction Zones, placed to welcome the World Minimal Music Festival. The solo exhibition Due Date by Brian Adam Douglas (interviewed) opened on Thursday 9 March to a full house at London’s Black Rat Projects. Douglas himself was fine form throughout the evening, chatting with visitors and signing copies of his new book, Paper cuts, published by Drago. Among the guests, AM spotted artists Peter Kennard, Matt Small (interviewed) and Giles Walker. Last weekend, Subliminal Projects played host to “Pattern Recognition”, a group exhibition from a great set of artists including Seonna Hong, Nikki McClure, Dalek (interviewed), Richard Colman (interviewed), and Souther Salazar. Particularly eye catching for us were the colorful works of Seonna and Souther although the works of Dalek and Colman seemed to fit the premise of the show a little more closely.
