Releases: Hendrik Beikirch – “Tracing Morocco” Book

The Montresso Foundation recently released a publication that presents a collaboration with Hendrik Beikirch aka ECB entitled Tracing Morocco. This project included an artistic residency at Jardin Rouge a dozen times since June 2014 during which he created 22 portraits that were showin in Zurich, Cologne, Tolouse, Völklinger and finally at the official book launch in Marrakesh in December of 2015. The idea of this ongoing project is to bring life and fresh energy to the streets and the daily life of the city. The Swedish city of Boras recently hosted a street art event between the 4th and 7th of September. Inviting some recognizable names from the street art world, the organizers of the No Limit Boras Festival were aiming to turn the city’s public space into an outdoor exhibition. Hendrik “ECB” Beikirch recently visited India where he created another portrait style mural that he is known for. In order to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, the German artist created a huge portrait of the civil rights icon with the help of Indian artist Anpu Varkey. German artist and muralist Hendrik ‘ECB’ Beikirch was recently in Split, Croatia, where he took part in a local XStatic festival by painting a new mural on Gripe sports center. German artist Hendrik Beikirch / ECB recently opened his solo show “Transsib – Greyhound. Paintings from train and bus rides” @ Ruttkowski;68 Gallery in Cologne, Germany on 5th of April (previewed).
