Studio Visits / Interviews: Hush

UK artist Hush’s latest solo show, “Hymn to beauty” (teased), kicks off on March 5th at Carmichael Gallery in LA. In between finishing up the body of work and nabbing 6 hours sleep over 3 days, Hush welcomed AM to his studio to take a look at the work in progress, where we did a little interview with him. Stella Im Hultberg’s show “The Insentient World” (teased) is opening tonight at Roq La Rue showing concurrently with Andrew Hem’s (interviewed) show.Â Her show will feature approximately six canvas paintings and six tea-stained paper pieces.Â She took a little time out from her busy schedule to work on a creative process feature for our readers focusing on one of her canvas works (12″ x 14″) entitled “Nobody and Everyone Else.”Â Take a look after the jump.

Gallery 1988 LA announced their latest print with Luke Chueh (teased) featuring his “Disintegration” image. Fans who missed out when the painting was first printed as a giclee on canvas last year (limited to 25 pieces) now have the chance to adorn their wall with this great image. If you remember, we were quite intrigued with Jin Young Yu’s transparent sculptures that were displayed at the Pulse Fair at Art Basel Miami last year. We were lucky enough to be able to interview her because of the efforts of AM friend Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed), who provided the translation for the Korean sculptor as well as added some questions of her own.
