Releases: Inauguration Print – Shepard Fairey

Shepard Fairey’s new print made especially for Barack Obama’s inauguration is now available from the Inaugural Store. There are two versions unsigned for $100 (24 x 36″ numbered 1001-9999 with 8500 available), signed for $500 (24 x 36″ limited to 1000 with 750 available). Discuss Shepard Fairey here.

We recently came across this picture of Anthony Lister working on an etching for an upcoming release from Paper Monster scheduled for this month.Â No details yet as to the edition size, price, or even the image, but from the looks of it, the print will most likely be of the painting seen below that was shown by New Image Art at Art Basel week. David Choe “Choegal” Signing

AM stopped by yesterday at GR2 for the signing and release of David Choe’s “Choegal” toy. Many fans braved the cold weather and some lined up for over an hour to get their figure as well the poster of the current Giant Robot magazine cover signed.Â More photos after the jump.

The long awaited wooden Choegal figure from David Choe has been released. Limited to 1000 pieces and priced modestly at $45, it features mechanical parts, three facial expressions (happy, sad, angry), and comes with a mini comic book. These were produced and available here at Ningyoushi in conjunction with Upper Playground. We believe these are all hand-painted so no two are different, but not by Choe. Release Party: Yoskay Yamamoto’s Koibito

Last night, we stopped by Munky King on Melrose to attend the release party for Yoskay Yamamoto’s (interviewed) Koibito figure. There were two colorways – gold and black (edition of 500) and a Munky King exclusive translucent-smoke colorway (edition of 150) – both seen below. There was also a raffle (one ticket per purchase) for an original painting and other prizes!Â Also for sale were various prints and custom koibitos… More after the jump.

Yoskay Yamamoto has been working closely with Munky King to produce the second colorway of his “Koibito” vinyl figure. Since the initial all black colorway sold out at the SDCC this summer, fans have been clamoring for another colorway to add to their collection.
