Openings: D*Face – “Happy Never Ending” @ Corey Helford Gallery

A couple weekends ago, D*Face (interviewed) headed to Los Angeles to present his newest body of work at Corey Helford Gallery. Showing: Zaria Forman – “Antartica” @ Winston Wächter (Seattle)

Antartica is the new show from Zaria Forman at Winston Wachter Fine Art in Seattle featuring her most recent body of work. The new large pastel on paper drawings are inspired from her four-week residency aboard the National Geographic Explorer to the earth’s southernmost continent and continues her work to bring attention to climate change through her art. Moniker ’17 / Previews: Kevin Peterson @ Thinkspace Gallery

Another artist showing with Thinkspace at the Moniker Art Fair (which opened today) in London was Kevin Peterson. Joining Brian Viveros (previewed), Audrey Kawasaki (previewed), Cinta Vidal, David Cooley, Dulk, and Telmo Miel with solo booths, the Houston-based artist contributed more of his signature paintings with children and their animal companions in urban environments, with a crown being the common denominator that draws this new body of work together. This Saturday night (October 7th) in Los Angeles, Cordessa Fine Art will be presenting a new body of work from Kevin E. Taylor. Entitled Dead Evidence, the recently produced paintings are loosely adapted from Larry Sultan and Mike Mandel’s photo series Evidence. Continuing his exploration of intriguing imagery that brings surreal elements into museum or gallery settings, the San Francisco-based artist deals with themes such as how “humankind’s urgent march toward technological advancement accelerates, yet our mortality constantly grounds us.” Discuss Kevin E. Frieze Week London ’17 / Previews: KAWS @ Perrotin Gallery
