Already revved up from the Gen Art VanguardÂ Gala (Here)… Friday night got even more crazy as DJ Diabetic and Ztrip tag teamed the turntables for a packed Shore Club in South Beach. Here is a little teaser video for the project we are working on with the good people at Modus Films. It’s a mini-documentary on Jeff Soto and his first ever museum show. The exhibit is entitled “Turning in Circles” (teased) and will open on December 13th at the Riverside Art Museum. Stopped by yesterday to take a look at the installation – it will be epic. AM will have a preview for you in the next several days as well as more surprises.

Here is Part II of our visit to Jeff Soto’s studio (see part I here). Besides showing us some of his new work for his upcoming show at the Riverside Art Museum, Jeff also decided to let us watch him paint. At first, there were just splotches of color he used as the background, but soon characteristic shapes and details were added. It was a real joy to watch Jeff at work and amazing how quickly he worked. See the process after the jump.

After coming back from Jeff Soto’s studio after dinner. The attendees and the artists came back to the resort and got a very special treat. An authenticÂ “life drawing” session was awaiting… not only forÂ the participants, but also for the artists to experience. After a quick round of mingling andÂ refreshments, the participants of Baby Tattooville were invited to the heart of the Jeff Soto factory.Â Once there, the attendees were treated to a â€œpreviewâ€ of Jeffâ€™s upcomingÂ solo show “Turning in Circles” at the Riverside Art Museum in December (previously teased). The second annual Baby Tattooville is fast approaching (October 3-5). This unique event, billed as a “limited edition retreat for artists & collectors,” has grown on us and Arrested Motion will be on hand to cover the event. The idea was for 50 paying attendees to spend the weekend participating in scheduled activities (panels, workshops, etc) and to socialize with the eventâ€™s artists.
