Streets: World Roundup (March 5 – March 11)

Starting off this week’s roundup is this new stencil from Bast seen on the streets of New York. This is the first we have shown you from him since his collaboration with Aiko at the end of last year. Last Thursday, New York’s Opera Gallery held an opening for their latest show entitled Making Faces. Openings: Evol & Friends @ Pictures On Walls

Following his recent installation in London Smithfield market (covered here), German artist EVOL and a full supporting cast of artists took over Pictures on Walls for the Christmas show with installations, sculptures, books and limited edition prints. Other featured artists include Banksy, Barminski, Dran, Tilt, James Cauty, Paul Insect, Wayne White, Might Mo, Todd James, Invader, Cept, Jerome Miller, Pacolli, Victor Van Gaasbeek, Zach Schrey and more. Contest: Paul Insect x Post No Bills Giveaway

No more than a couple of weeks ago, Post No Bills unveiled a new solo exhibition (covered) by UK-based artist Paul Insect. During the event, specially-signed letterpressed items were given away to a fortunate few. These were created by printmaster Ramon De Larosa using a machine from the 1830′s and the final results were a handful of signed/hand-finished editions, one of which AM will now be giving away to a lucky winner. Just a few days ago, Paul Insect debuted his first major U.S. solo exhibition at Venice’s Post No Bills gallery. Since the last London Street Art Roundup, Shoreditch has yet again been buzzing with activity. Much of this is due to Moniker Art Fair hitting Shoreditch for the second year running with a collection of artists around the globe filling the space of Village Underground.
