Invader will be having a solo show at Jonathan Levine Gallery at the end of June. Here’s a little video preview of his trademark “Rubickubism” process and a piece that will be at the show. AM was in attendance at the “F%#k Cancer! We Love Justin” silent art auction held at Poketo studios. You may not recognize Justin VanHoy’s name, but you’ve undoubtedly seen the work he’s done as art director of Swindle and his contributions to Obey Clothing, Cobra Snake and Wired Magazine. All proceeds from the event went directly to support Justin’s recovery from a successful bone marrow transplant after a relapse of lukemia. In his grandest-scale project ever, “Banksy versus Bristol City Museum,” Banksy has installed over 100 works inside Bristol Museum, including an estimated 70 brand new, never before seen pieces. Work ranges from classic Banksy pieces to brand new sculpture, canvas and animatronics like those seen last in the NYC Village Pet Store show. AM headed over to Roberts & Tilton in Culver City today to check out the installation in progress of San Francisco based Andrew Schoultz’s new work. The show will run until August 1st with an opening receptionÂ Saturday, June 13, from 6-8 pm. AM was lucky enough to get an advance look at what will surely be the most sought after pieces at “Self-Portraits,” Circle Culture Gallery’s latest offering opening tomorrow, Friday, June 5th in Berlin. Seen above is JR’s “Self-Portrait in a Woman’s Eye, Kenya” from the 28 Millimetres series and is a brilliant use of a subject to capture an image of himself. Preview/Setup: Know Hope – “the times won’t save you (this rain smells of memory)” @ Carmichael Gallery

AM stopped by the Carmichael Gallery to check out the progress of Israeli street artist Know Hope’s first Los Angeles solo debut “the times won’t save you (this rain smells of memory)” (teased) opening tomorrow, Thursday, June 4th.
