As previously mentioned, the Portuguese collective Underdogs is currently hosting a solo show from Ernest Zacharevic. The Lithuanian-born artist, whose street works around his hometown in Malaysia have become viral sensations and one of the favorite tourist attractions, recently spent few weeks in Lisbon, creating and finally installing and opening his solo show Floor is Lava. STANDARD (Oslo) and Mehdi Chouakri present Reciprocal Score, a two person exhibition of work by Tauba Auerbach and Charlotte Posenenske. showing at Indipendenza in Rome. The show includes new woven paintings by Auerbach, who incorporated architectural structure and ornaments from around the city into the works, along with Posenenske’s D and DW square tubes series. Pace Prints recently unveiled an exhibition of fresh works by New York legend Kenny Scharf. The self-titled show consisted of unique silkscreen prints on which his signature cartoon-like faces were depicted three-dimensionally from painted and sculpted paper pulp. This new technique brings to life another aspect of his classic characters, who already exhibit vivid colors and wild emotions.
