Teaser: Ray Caesar – “A Gentle Kind of Cruelty” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

Besides his participation in the “In The Nursery” group show, Ray Caesar has some bigger things planned for January – namely his solo at Jonathan Levine Gallery. Unique in the scene as one of the rare artists who find success with utilizing the digital medium, Caesar’s newest body of work will be entitled “A Gentle Kind of Cruelty”. As you can see in the image above, his pale skinned beauties are not always what they seem.  See for yourself on January 22nd.

Teaser: “In The Nursery” @ Corey Helford Gallery

It looks like Ray Caesar will be part of a group of artists participating in the upcoming “In The Nursery” group show at Corey Helford Gallery. All the work in the show, like this exquisite piece (seen above) from the master of the digital arts, will focus on the themes of childhood, birth, and nursery art. Teaser: James Jean – Solo Exhibition @ Martha Otero

Here’s some big news to ring in the new year.  James Jean (interviewed) will have his first solo exhibition of his fine art career in Los Angeles at Martha Otero.  Although the exact date is not yet released, it will be in March. Teaser / Video: D*Face & Mear One – “Temporary Metropolis” @ L.A. Mart

It sounds like D*Face (interviewed) and Mear One are planning a huge show in Los Angeles for May of next year. They will be taking over the 25,000 sq. ft. 2nd floor of L.A. Mart in downtown with their paintings and installations entitled Temporary Metropolis. Luke Chueh’s (interviewed) upcoming show at Corey Helford in February is shaping up to be an interesting affair.
