On September 30th, Darren Romanelli (Dr. Romanelli) and Eric Nakamura (Giant Robot) will be presenting Twentieth Century Boy, a one-night show featuring new paintings by Masakatsu Sashie (covered) paying tribute to T. Looks like SHAG (interviewed) will be channeling some Hieronymus Bosch for his solo show at Corey Helford in November.Â The exhibiton entitled “Autumn’s Come Undone” will be his first at the Culver City gallery andÂ will presumably have some pieces paying tribute to the famous 15th century painter.Â Another image after the jump…

A few weeks ago, the Boston ICA closed it’s doors on the record breaking “Supply & Demand” retrospective (covered)Â for Shepard Fairey. Takashi Murakami has been a busy boy. With exhibitions already planned at Emmanuel Perrotin (here) this month and Palace of Versailles (here) in 2010, it seems that Takashi wants to make sure thatÂ the “big apple”Â is not forgotten. The legendary Gagosian Gallery in New York will play hostÂ to an exhibition from September 17th – October 24th with a new body of work. Come the end of October, Giant Robot’s Biennale 2 Exhibition is opening at the Japanese American National Museum.Â Here is the beginning of James Jeanâ€™s (interviewed) piece, entitled “Chhinnamasta.” Uh, yeah, don’t ask us what that is, ask wikipedia.Â In any event, looks like an interesting show with some other great artists such as Jeff Soto (interviewed), David Choe, Souther Salazar, kozyndan, and Deth P. New Yorkers are in for a treat as the godfather of the Low Brow Movement, Robert Williams, is resurfacing for a rare solo show at the prestigious Tony Shafrazi Gallery at the end of October. It sounds like there will be 25 new paintings as well as a catalog accompanying the exhibition which will continue on in 2010 to other galleries throughout the country (Cal State Northridge confirmed for Feb-April).
